BrightPlus: the buffer and daily payouts

How the buffer works, when your first BrightPlus payout is available and how to calculate what you can request.

On BrightPlus you get daily payouts: up to one approved payout per trading day, as long as your balance is above the buffer. After each payout you need fresh profit before the next one. Daily payouts are available only on BrightPlus. You do not need winning days. This article explains the buffer and the fresh profit rule, and shows how to calculate what you can request.

What is the buffer?

The buffer is your starting balance + Max Loss Limit + $100. It unlocks your payouts and it is the withdrawal floor for every payout.

⚠️ The buffer is not the breach line. Your breach line is the floor of your Max Loss Limit, which sits much lower. Read BrightPlus: Max Loss Limit explained.

The rules

  • Daily payouts: up to one approved payout per trading day, with 1% fresh profit of the starting balance after each payout. A trading day runs from 6:00 PM ET to 5:00 PM ET the next day.

  • First payout: available 24 hours after your first trade, and only when your balance is above the buffer.

  • Next payouts: after each approved payout you need fresh profit of 1% of your starting balance. Read Fresh profit between payouts below.

  • Balance, not equity: the buffer reads your balance (closed trades only). Open profit does not count.

  • Maximum request: your balance minus the buffer, up to the payout cap.

  • Paused, not breached: if your balance falls below the buffer later, payouts pause until it is back above. It is not a breach.

  • Minimum Trade Duration: must be met to request a payout.

Fresh profit between payouts

  • After each approved payout, to request the next one you need fresh profit of at least 1% of your starting balance.

  • Fresh profit reads your balance (closed trades), not your equity. Your balance must be at least the balance right after your last approved payout + 1% of your starting balance.

  • Being above the buffer is not enough on its own.

⚠️ The fresh profit rule only unlocks the next request. The most you can request is still your balance minus the buffer, up to the cap, and the minimum is $250. One approved payout per trading day still applies.

Example A: the next request ($50K)

  • The buffer is $52,100. Your balance is $55,000, so $2,900 is available, but the cap is $2,000.

  • You request $2,000 and receive $1,600 (80%). Your balance is now $53,000.

  • The next trading day, with no new closed profit, you cannot request, even though your balance is $900 above the buffer.

  • 👉 Once your balance is at least $53,500 ($500 fresh profit), you can request up to $1,400. That is $53,500 − $52,100.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request the full $2,900 and receive $2,320 (or $2,900 with the 100% Profit Split addon too).

Example B: a big profit day ($50K)

  • You make $10,000 profit in one day. Your balance is $60,000.

  • You request $2,000 (the cap) and receive $1,600. Your balance is now $58,000.

  • To request again, your balance must be at least $58,500.

  • 👉 Then you can request up to the cap, $2,000.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request $4,000 and receive $3,200 (or $4,000 with the 100% Profit Split addon too). Your balance is then $56,000, and to request again it must be at least $56,500.

Example C: with the 2x Payout Cap addon ($50K)

  • The cap is $4,000. Your balance is $54,500, so $2,400 is available.

  • You request $2,400 and receive $1,920 (or $2,400 with the 100% Profit Split addon too). Your balance is now $52,100.

  • 👉 To request again, your balance must be at least $52,600 ($500 fresh profit). Then you can request up to $500.

Examples

Example 1: profit above the cap ($50K)

  • Your balance is $54,500. $54,500 − $52,100 = $2,400 available, but the cap is $2,000.

  • You request $2,000 and receive $1,600 (80%).

  • Your balance is now $52,500.

  • 👉 The next trading day, with no new profit, you cannot request yet. You need fresh profit of $500, so a balance of at least $53,000. Then you can request up to $900. That is $53,000 − $52,100.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request the full $2,400 and receive $1,920 (or $2,400 with the 100% Profit Split addon too).

Example 2: open profit does not count ($50K)

  • Your equity is $55,000, but your balance is $51,000 because of an open trade.

  • Your balance is below the $52,100 buffer.

  • 👉 You cannot request anything until the trades are closed and the balance is above the buffer.

Example 3: smaller account ($25K)

  • Your balance is $27,000. $27,000 − $26,100 = $900 available, below the $1,000 cap.

  • You request $900 and receive $720 (80%).

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $2,000, but the $900 available is still the limit, so the result is the same.

Rule Summary

  • Buffer: start + MLL + $100

  • Reads: balance, not equity

  • Daily payouts: up to one payout per trading day (BrightPlus only)

  • After each approved payout: fresh profit of 1% of your starting balance

  • Below the buffer: payouts pause, no breach

Frequently asked questions

Can I request again the next day?

Only if you made fresh profit. After an approved payout, your balance must reach the balance right after that payout + 1% of your starting balance ($500 on $50K).

Why can I not request even though my balance is above the buffer?

After your first payout you also need fresh profit of 1% of your starting balance since your last approved payout.

Why can I not request even though my equity is above the buffer?

The buffer reads your balance. Close your trades and check again.

Can I request twice in one trading day?

No. The maximum is one approved payout per trading day.

Does a payout lower my balance below the buffer?

Your maximum request is balance minus the buffer, so a payout can bring your balance down to the buffer, not below it.

Does the buffer affect my breach?

No. Falling below the buffer pauses payouts but is never a breach.
