Stage 1: the Evaluation

One phase, no time limit and no minimum number of trading days. To pass, all four of these must be true:

  1. You reached the profit target (6% of the account).

  2. The Consistency Rule is met: your best trading day is at most 50% of your total net profit.

  3. The Minimum Trade Duration is met: more than 50% of your winning profit comes from trades held longer than 15 seconds.

  4. Your equity never touched the floor.

Reached the target but still not passed?

👉 Your account does not fail. If the target is reached but the Consistency Rule or the Minimum Trade Duration is not met yet, the account stays open and keeps trading until it is compliant. The dashboard shows a status such as "Pending, Trade Duration Not Met".

Example: Consistency Rule on a $50K account

  • Your total profit is $3,000 and your best day is $1,600, which is 53%.

  • You do not pass yet, because the best day is above 50%.

  • 👉 When your total profit reaches $3,200, the best day is exactly 50% and you pass. Exactly 50% is allowed.

Max Loss Limit: intraday trailing

Your floor is your highest point minus the Max Loss Limit (MLL). On BrightPlus, the highest point is the highest equity you ever reached, in real time, including open profit. The floor only goes up, never down, until it locks. If your equity touches the floor at any moment, the account is breached.

Example: $50K account

  • You start at $50,000, so the floor is $48,000.

  • You open a trade and your equity reaches $51,500 with open profit. The floor moves to $49,500 right away.

  • You close the trade at $50,800.

  • 👉 The floor stays at $49,500. It never moves down.

In the Evaluation the Max Loss Limit never locks. It keeps trailing until you pass or breach. Read BrightPlus: Max Loss Limit explained and BrightPlus: when does my Max Loss Limit lock? for more.

Stage 2: SIM Funded, the buffer and daily payouts

After you pass, complete KYC and sign the contract. Your SIM Funded Account activates on the same account number, with the balance back at the starting balance.

The buffer is your starting balance + MLL + $100. It unlocks your payouts and it is the withdrawal floor for every payout.

  • You can request one approved payout per trading day. A trading day is one CME session, from 6:00 PM ET to 5:00 PM ET the next day.

  • Your first payout is available 24 hours after your first trade, and only when your balance is above the buffer.

  • After each approved payout, you need fresh profit before the next request. Read Fresh profit between payouts below.

  • The buffer reads your balance (closed trades only), not your equity. Open profit does not count.

  • Your maximum request is balance minus buffer, up to the payout cap.

  • Payouts are processed up to 24 business hours after you request them.

  • If your balance falls below the buffer later, payouts pause until it is back above. This is not a breach.

  • You do not need winning days.

Example: payout on a $50K account

  • Your balance is $54,500. $54,500 minus the $52,100 buffer = $2,400 available, but the cap is $2,000.

  • You request $2,000. The full $2,000 comes off your balance and you receive $1,600 (80%).

  • Your balance is now $52,500. To request again you need fresh profit of $500, so your balance must reach $53,000. Then you can request up to $900.

  • 👉 With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request the full $2,400 and receive $1,920 (80%), or $2,400 with the 100% Profit Split addon too. Your balance is then $52,100 and you need $52,600 to request again.

⚠️ Open profit does not count. If your equity is $55,000 but your balance is $51,000, you cannot request anything until your trades are closed and the balance is above the buffer.

Fresh profit between payouts

Your first payout works as described above. After each approved payout, to request the next one you need fresh profit of at least 1% of your original account size.

  • Fresh profit reads your balance (closed trades), like the buffer. Open profit does not count.

  • Your balance must be at least your balance right after the last approved payout + 1% of your starting balance.

  • Being above the buffer is not enough on its own. Fresh profit only unlocks the next request.

  • Your maximum request is still balance minus buffer, up to the payout cap. The minimum request is $250.

  • You can still request only one approved payout per trading day.

  • The 2x Payout Cap addon does not change this rule.

Example: $50K account, balance $55,000

  • $55,000 minus the $52,100 buffer = $2,900 available, but the cap is $2,000. You request $2,000 and receive $1,600 (80%). Your balance is now $53,000.

  • The next trading day, with no new closed profit, you cannot request. You need $500 of fresh profit.

  • 👉 When your balance reaches $53,500 (+$500), you can request up to $1,400.

  • 👉 With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request the full $2,900 and receive $2,320 (80%), or $2,900 with the 100% Profit Split addon too. Your balance is then $52,100 and you need $52,600 to request again.

Example: $50K account, $10,000 profit in one day

  • Your balance is $60,000. You request $2,000 (the cap) and receive $1,600. Your balance is now $58,000.

  • 👉 To request again you need a balance of $58,500 (+$500). Then you can request up to the cap.

  • 👉 With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request $4,000 and receive $3,200 (80%), or $4,000 with the 100% Profit Split addon too. Your balance is then $56,000 and you need $56,500 to request again.

The lock in SIM Funded

When your equity reaches the buffer (for example $52,100 on a $50K account), the trailing floor is already exactly at your starting balance + $100 ($50,100), so it simply stops there for good. Nothing jumps. After the lock, the floor never moves again, and a balance or equity below the locked floor is a breach.

Frequently asked questions

Can I request a payout every day?

Only if you have fresh profit. After each approved payout you need fresh profit of at least 1% of your account size ($500 on a $50K account), and your balance must be above the buffer. One approved payout per trading day at most.

Why can I not request again if my balance is above the buffer?

Because after a payout you also need fresh profit. Your balance must be at least your balance after the last approved payout + 1% of your starting balance. Read Fresh profit between payouts above.

Why can I not request a payout if my equity is above the buffer?

Because the buffer reads your balance, not your equity. Close your trades first.

What happens if my balance drops below the buffer?

Payouts pause until the balance is back above the buffer. It is not a breach.

How do I get 100% of my payout?

With the 100% Profit Split addon you receive 100% of the amount you request instead of 80%. Read BrightPlus: prices and addons.

Does reaching the profit target breach my account?

No. Reaching the target is never a breach.
