Why can't I request a payout?

A checklist of the reasons a payout request is not available on BrightPlus and BrightCore, with worked examples.

If you cannot request a payout, one of the rules below is almost always the reason. Go through this checklist in order: first the checks for both plans, then the checks for your plan.

Checks for both plans

  • Already requested: payouts are processed up to 24 business hours after you request them. If you made your request within that time, it is still being processed.

  • Amount: the minimum request is $250. The payout cap is the main limit (doubled with the 2x Payout Cap addon). On BrightCore, you can also request at most 50% of the current profit of your account (your balance minus your starting balance). BrightPlus does not have this 50% limit. The most you can request is the lowest of the limits of your plan (see below). The cap and the $250 minimum apply to the requested amount.

  • Minimum Trade Duration: more than 50% of your winning profit since your last approved payout must come from trades held longer than 15 seconds. It never fails your account, but it blocks the payout request until it is met. You can check it under Trading Objectives on your dashboard.

  • New cycle: the Minimum Trade Duration and, on BrightCore, the winning days only count what happened after your last approved payout.

  • Consistency Rule: it applies only in the Evaluation. There is no Consistency Rule in SIM Funded, so it never blocks a payout.

BrightPlus checks

  • Balance above the buffer: the buffer is your starting balance + Max Loss Limit + $100 (for example $52,100 on a $50K account). If your balance is at or below the buffer, there is nothing to request. Your maximum request is your balance minus the buffer, up to the cap. There is no 50% of profit limit on BrightPlus.

  • Balance, not equity: the buffer reads your balance (closed trades only). Open profit does not count. Close your trades and check again.

  • First payout: it is available 24 hours after your first trade, and only when your balance is above the buffer.

  • Fresh profit since your last payout: after each approved payout, you need fresh profit of at least 1% of your starting balance: $250 on 25K, $500 on 50K, $1,000 on 100K, $1,500 on 150K. Your balance must reach the balance right after your last approved payout + that amount. Being above the buffer is not enough on its own.

  • One payout per trading day: a maximum of one approved payout per trading day. A trading day runs from 6:00 PM ET to 5:00 PM ET the next day.

  • Paused, not breached: if your balance falls below the buffer later, payouts pause until it is back above. It is not a breach.

  • Winning days: not needed on BrightPlus.

BrightCore checks

  • Winning days: you need 5 winning days since your last approved payout, or 3 with the 3 Day Payout Cycle addon.

  • What is a winning day: a trading day (6:00 PM ET to 5:00 PM ET) with net profit from closed trades of at least the amount for your size. Only one winning day per trading day counts. Days with a smaller profit do not count at all, not even as half a day.

$25K

$100 or more net

$50K

$200 or more net

$100K

$300 or more net

$150K

$300 or more net

  • Balance: it must stay at or above starting balance + $100. Your maximum request is your balance minus (start + $100), up to the cap and up to 50% of your current profit (your balance minus your starting balance). There is no buffer on BrightCore.

  • After each approved payout: the count goes back to zero and starts again from the next full trading day.

Worked examples

Example 1: BrightPlus, open profit does not count ($50K)

  • Your equity is $55,000, but your balance is $51,000 because of an open trade.

  • Your balance is below the $52,100 buffer.

  • 👉 You cannot request anything until the trades are closed and your balance is above the buffer.

Example 2: BrightPlus, below the minimum ($25K)

  • Your balance is $26,300. $26,300 − $26,100 = $200 available.

  • 👉 $200 is below the $250 minimum, so you cannot request yet. You can request once your balance is at least $26,350.

Example 3: BrightPlus, profit above the cap ($50K)

  • Your balance is $54,500. $54,500 − $52,100 = $2,400 available, but the cap is $2,000.

  • 👉 You request up to $2,000 and receive $1,600 (80%). The other $400 stays in the account for a later payout.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could request the full $2,400 and receive $1,920 (or $2,400 with the 100% Profit Split addon too).

Example 4: BrightPlus, not enough fresh profit ($50K)

  • Your balance was $55,000 and you requested $2,000. Your balance is now $53,000, which is $900 above the $52,100 buffer.

  • The next trading day you have no new closed profit.

  • 👉 You cannot request yet. You need fresh profit of $500 (1% of $50,000), so a balance of at least $53,500. Then you can request up to $1,400.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, so you could have requested the full $2,900 and received $2,320 (or $2,900 with the 100% Profit Split addon too).

Example 5: BrightCore, not enough winning days ($50K)

  • A winning day on $50K needs $200 or more net. Since your last approved payout you have 4 winning days.

  • 👉 You cannot request yet. The 5th winning day unlocks the payout.

  • With the 3 Day Payout Cycle addon you only need 3 winning days, so with 4 you could already request, as long as your balance is at or above $50,100.

Example 6: BrightCore, 50% of profit limit ($50K)

  • You completed 5 winning days and your balance is $53,000. Balance minus (start + $100): $53,000 − $50,100 = $2,900. 50% of your current profit: ($53,000 − $50,000) × 50% = $1,500. The cap is $2,000.

  • 👉 The lowest is the 50% of your current profit, so you request up to $1,500 and receive $1,200 (80%), or $1,500 with the 100% Profit Split addon. The rest of the profit stays in the account for a later payout.

  • With the 2x Payout Cap addon the cap is $4,000, but the maximum is still $1,500, because the 50% limit is lower.

Example 7: Minimum Trade Duration not met

  • Your winning profit since your last approved payout is $1,200. $500 came from trades held longer than 15 seconds and $700 from faster trades.

  • $500 is 41.7% of $1,200, which is not more than 50%.

  • 👉 You cannot request yet. You need about $200 more profit from trades held longer than 15 seconds.

Rule Summary

  • Both plans: $250 minimum, up to the cap (doubled with the 2x Payout Cap addon), Minimum Trade Duration met

  • BrightPlus: balance above the buffer, one approved payout per trading day, first payout 24 hours after your first trade. No 50% of profit limit

  • BrightPlus after the first payout: fresh profit of 1% of your starting balance ($250 / $500 / $1,000 / $1,500)

  • BrightCore: 5 winning days (3 with the 3 Day Payout Cycle addon), balance at or above start + $100, and a request of at most 50% of your current profit (balance minus starting balance)

  • Not a breach: a payout that is not available never fails your account

Frequently asked questions

I already requested my payout. How long does it take?

Payouts are processed up to 24 business hours after you request them. If you are still within that time, your request is being processed.

Is my account breached if I cannot request a payout?

No. A payout that is not available never breaches your account. On BrightPlus, a balance below the buffer only pauses payouts until it is back above.

I am above the buffer. Why can I not request again?

On BrightPlus, after each approved payout you also need fresh profit of at least 1% of your starting balance ($500 on $50K). Your balance must reach the balance right after your last payout + that amount.

Why can I not request even though my equity is above the buffer?

The buffer reads your balance, not your equity. Close your trades and check again.

Can I request twice in one trading day?

On BrightPlus, no. The maximum is one approved payout per trading day, and a trading day runs from 6:00 PM ET to 5:00 PM ET the next day.

Do the 5 winning days have to be in a row?

No. The rule counts winning days since your last approved payout. It does not ask for them to be consecutive.

Does a day with a smaller profit count as half a winning day?

No. Days with a profit below the amount for your size do not count at all.

Can the Consistency Rule block my payout?

No. The Consistency Rule only applies in the Evaluation. There is no Consistency Rule in SIM Funded.

Why can I not request more than my cap?

The cap is the main limit and the most you can request in one payout. Profit above the cap stays in your account and can be withdrawn in later payouts. The 2x Payout Cap addon doubles the cap.

Is there a limit besides the payout cap?

On BrightCore, yes. You can also request at most 50% of the current profit of your account (your balance minus your starting balance). Your maximum is the lowest of the cap, this 50% limit and your balance minus (start + $100). On BrightPlus there is no 50% limit. Your maximum is the lowest of the cap and your balance minus the buffer.

Can I request my whole profit?

On BrightCore, no. In one request you can take at most 50% of your current profit, and never more than the payout cap. On BrightPlus there is no 50% limit: you can request up to the payout cap and up to your balance minus the buffer. On both plans, the profit you do not request stays in your account.

Do my old trades count for the Minimum Trade Duration?

No. Only trades closed since your last approved payout count. Every approved payout starts a new count.
