The Max Loss Limit (MLL) is the only loss rule on BrightFunded Futures. It is how far your account can fall below its highest point. Your floor is your highest point minus the MLL. If your live equity, including open trades, touches the floor at any moment, the account is breached right away. On BrightPlus, the highest point follows your equity in real time.
The key terms
Term | Meaning |
MLL (Max Loss Limit) | How far the account can fall below its highest point |
Floor | Highest point minus the MLL. Touching it is a breach |
Highest point | The highest equity you ever reached, in real time, including open profit |
Equity | Balance plus open profit or loss |
Balance | Closed trades only |
Current | Equity minus highest point, shown on the dashboard |
The floor only goes up, never down, until it locks.
It keeps trailing even above your starting balance.
There is no daily loss limit. The MLL is the only loss rule.

BrightPlus: intraday trailing, real time
Your highest point is the highest equity you ever reached, in real time, including open profit. The floor moves up the moment your equity makes a new high.
Example: $50K account
You start at $50,000, so the floor is $48,000.
With an open trade, your equity reaches $51,500. The floor moves to $49,500 right away.
You close the trade at $50,800.
đ The floor stays at $49,500. It never moves down.
The lock (SIM Funded only)
In SIM Funded, the floor stops trailing for good at your starting balance + $100. On BrightPlus this happens when your equity reaches the buffer. In the Evaluation it never locks. Read BrightPlus: when does my Max Loss Limit lock?
Reading "Current" on your dashboard
Current = equity minus highest point. It is $0 or a negative number. Your account breaches when Current reaches the full MLL amount.
Example, $50K: your highest point is $51,500 and your equity is $50,500. Current is â$1,000. You breach when Current reaches â$2,000, which is equity $49,500.
