Copy trading between your own accounts is allowed. Copying other traders and group trading are not allowed, and they are a hard breach of the Terms and Conditions. Bots are allowed as long as they do not replicate another trader, and EAs follow the same rule as bots.
What is allowed
Copy trading between your own accounts. You can copy the trades of one of your accounts to your other accounts.
Bots that are yours only and do not replicate another trader. Nobody else can access them, and they cannot run at other firms at the same time.
EAs that do not replicate another trader. EAs follow the same rule as bots.
What is not allowed
Copying other traders.
Group trading.
Bots or EAs that replicate another trader.
⚠️ Copying other traders and group trading are a hard breach of the Terms and Conditions. Bots and EAs that replicate another trader fall under the same rule.
Examples
What you do | Allowed? |
You copy the trades of your own Evaluation account to your own other accounts | Yes, they are all your accounts |
You run a bot or an EA with your own strategy | Yes, it does not replicate another trader |
You follow a signal group or a Discord caller and copy their trades | No, you are copying other traders. This is a hard breach |
You trade together with a group of traders | No, group trading is a hard breach |
You use a bot or an EA that mirrors another trader's trades | No, it replicates another trader. This is a hard breach |
Scenario: copying between your own accounts
You open a long ES on account A and you copy it to your account B, so both accounts are long ES.
👉 This is allowed. Both accounts are yours and the trades go in the same direction, so it is not a hedge.
⚠️ If you open a short ES on account B while the long ES on account A is open, that is hedging across your own accounts. The same is true for a short of 10 MES, because 1 mini = 10 micros and mini against micro counts as a hedge.
In that case both accounts take the breach, and each account receives its own soft breach (1 soft breach per account).
Every other rule still applies
The Max Loss Limit (MLL) applies to each account. If the equity of an account touches its floor, that account is breached.
Hedging is still hedging: opposite positions on the same instrument or in the same group count, also across your own accounts.
The Consistency Rule and the Minimum Trade Duration still apply to each account.
You still cannot exploit the simulation, with or without a bot or an EA. Read Can I trade the news?
