Your account is simulated, but the rules are real. This guide explains the practices that are not allowed on BrightFunded Futures, what happens if they are detected, and what you can do freely.
What is not allowed
Practice | What it means | What happens |
Hedging | Holding a long and a short at the same time on the same instrument, or on correlated instruments of the same group, in one account or across your own accounts | 1st time: soft breach (warning). 2nd time on the same account: hard breach |
Copying other traders and group trading | Copying another trader or a signal group, or trading together with a group of traders | Hard breach of the Terms and Conditions |
Letting someone else trade your account | Your account must be operated only by you, the account owner | Not allowed |
Exploiting the simulation | Taking advantage of the simulated environment with trades that would not be possible in a real market | The profit from those trades is removed. It is not a breach |
Payment disputes in bad faith | Opening a chargeback without contacting Support first | A violation of the Terms and Conditions |
After a hard breach
You can reset the same account from your dashboard at 45% off the full list price, or buy a new account. The time left to reset is shown on your dashboard.
What is allowed
News trading. There is no blackout.
Copy trading between your own accounts.
Bots and EAs, as long as they do not replicate another trader.
A VPN or a VPS. The account must still be operated only by you.
Remember that hedging between your own accounts still counts as hedging, even if you copy your own trades.
